The 3 Best Parisian Patisseries

Posted by Lifestyle Blogger on

To not indulge your sweet tooth in Paris would be insane! Every street corner holds a window full of glorious pastries, marvelous cakes and crispy breads. I will warn you before I start to write more, but this top 3 of the best patisseries & bakeries in Paris is clearly biased as it is a list of my 3 favorite spots when I’m in Paris craving of the most decadent treats!

1. La Patisserie Des Rêves
I simply adore their concept: revisiting and modernizing the great (and delicious) classics of French pastry in a pink shop that looks like and inviting laboratory! On a sunny day, I love to take their Paris-Brest (made of choux pastry and a ohh so yummy praline flavored cream) to-go and find a nice spot to enjoy it quietly in the park nearby.

2. Des Gâteaux Et Du Pain
As its name suggests, the beautiful shop of one of the city’s only female pastry chef is split in two; with one side full of flamboyant & delicious cakes and the other features an array of crusty loaves of bread. My go-to is the Lipstick, a fancy and delicious cake made with a rose mousse and actual slices of grapefruit.

3. Angelina
Located In the famous Rue de Rivoli (1st arrondissement), the small shop replicates all of the original’s Belle Epoque charm. Well known for having the richest & most extravagant Hot Chocolate cups (if you missed it, here’s my recipe for a yummy treat.) My top pick here is definitely their Mont-Blanc – a mountain of meringue covered in whipped cream and sweet chestnut spread.

And you, what is your favorite bakery in Paris?
I can’t wait to read your recommendations for my next visit!

Voila!
