GIVE THE GIFT OF FRANCE - effortless & elevated

24 Hours In Lyon

Posted by Lifestyle Blogger on

Summer is well on the way and there are so many things to look forward to: the beautiful sunshine, the beach, and vacation!!! Yes, it’s that time of the year again and in this article, after Rennes, I want to take you on a 24hr tour of one of France’s biggest cities: Lyon a.k.a the Capital of Lights! Prepare yourself for a day filled with fun, food and culture!

11am Let’s start with brunch

Start your day with delicate homemade pastries from Thé Où and don’t miss their famous teas which are all guaranteed to be delightful!

1:30pm Market Time

It wouldn’t be France if you didn’t have markets readily available every day. Marché Saint-Antoine is surrounded by a bed of water which only adds to the excitement of finding hidden gems within the stalls.

4pm Relax at the park

There really is no better way to spend a summer day than to visit Parc de la Tête d’Or, the popular city park complete with a small zoo, sports facilities and a lake. Bring some snacks, rent a boat and enjoy a peaceful hour or two on the lake in the heart of Lyon.

7pm Dinner at the Bocuse Restaurant

Owned by world famous chef and innovator of the nouvelle cuisine style of cooking, Paul Bocuse fostered this restaurant to reflect his culinary mastery so you can expect to receive a 5-star dining experience!

9pm Trompe l’oeil

Walk off your delicious dinner by visiting Lyon’s many murals. Immerse yourself in the optical illusions and try to guess what is painted on and what isn’t!

Bon voyage!
