French Style Burger Recipe

Did you know that the Burger is becoming more and more trendy in France? It appeared in the menu of many restaurants and bistros, even gastronomic ones. According to French people, a good Burger means crunchy bread, thick steak and of course fresh and tasty ingredients. Some French Burger recipes are considered as premium because it contains fancy French cheese and gourmet food. Here is my favorite French style Burger, with Brie Cheese and Sweet onions confit. I love melted cheese on a juicy steak with fresh salad and this little sweet taste that make this Burger so unique! Yummy Yummy

Preparation Time: 25 min

Ingredients for 4 servings

For the sauce :
2 oz mayonnaise
4 Extra Fine Gherkins
½ onion
1 tsp fried onions
½ tsp sugar
1 tbsp chopped chives

For the burgers :
4 hamburger buns
4 tsp Sweet Onions Confit
4 beef patties
4 slices Brie cheese
Some lamb’s lettuce
A handful of pickled onions

Preparation

  1. Prepare the sauce : grate the Edmont Fallot Gherkins and the half onion. Crumble the fried onions. Beat it with mayonnaise, sugar and chives. Keep in the fridge.
  2. Cook the patties in an oiled pan, 1½ minutes on each side. Then, add one Brie cheese slice on each patty, keep cooking over the lowest heat until the cheese melts.
  3. Cut the buns in 2 and toast them. Spread some sauce on each part. Add one patty with cheese. Then,  add  one tbsp of Sweet Onions Confit on the top, some pickled and lamb’s lettuce.
