French Hot Chocolate Recipe

Posted by Lifestyle Blogger on

Winter is already well-settled, so it’s time to start cocooning all weekend long!
One of my great pleasures, when I’m in Paris and the temperature is dropping, is sipping a cup of rich hot chocolate – a Chocolat Chaud – in a cozy café. I’m a voracious chocolate lover and I can’t ever get enough of this thick, gloriously rich and delicious concoction. So when I deeply feel the desire for chocolate, I’d make this quick and easy recipe and feel really good instantly.
Follow these really easy steps to make a dark hot chocolate that tastes just like the kind served in Paris cafés! Add a cozy place in your home and a good book and you’re all set for a relaxing winter afternoon.

Preparation time: 4 mins
Cooking time: 3 mins

Ingredients for 2
2 tbsp Chocolate and Hazelnut spread
6 squares dark chocolate
½ cup whole milk
Optional : 1 tablespoon brown sugar, whipped cream and marshmallows

Preparation
1. In a medium saucepan, heat whole milk and Chocolate and Hazelnut spread.
2. Once the mix is warm, add chocolate and stir until melted. Whisk constantly and don’t let the mixture boil.
3. Taste, add brown sugar and top with whipped cream & marshmallows if desired.
