Hibiscus-Jasmine Blend Cocktail

Early Fall is one of my favorite times of year because the weather is still warm and you can still find time to relax and unwind before the hectic holiday season. It’s also ideal for trying new iced drinks before the temperature starts dropping. With this unique cocktail recipe, you get the best of both worlds of herbal and green tea flavor, brought out by elements of citrus. The distinctive flowery taste of the tea leaves creates a one of a kind beverage like you’ve never had. You really can’t go wrong with iced tea, so why not try it with alcohol? Ingredients (Serves 6) 2 cups chilled Jasmine Green Tea 2 cups chilled hibiscus tea 2 cups vodka 1 cup lemon juice 1 lime…

The Lavandou: A Honey Lavender Cocktail

I’m obsessed with lavender!  From devouring lavender ice cream to pouring lavender-scented bleach in my laundry–and everything in between–I guess it’s safe to say I’m smitten.  It’s even my favorite color! I visited Croatia in June and they were selling lavender honey on every other corner. Knowing I had some waiting for me at home in California, I neglected to indulge in my lavender ideé fixe. When I’m craving something sweet I love to use lavender honey because it’s much healthier than most desserts. Honey has so many health benefits and it’s also the most nutritious sugar substitute! I usually drizzle it over yogurt mixed with some fruit. Sometimes I spread cream cheese on toast and top it off with a little lavender honey, too!  Recently,…

Bottomless Pear Mimosas

Sunday is, by far, the best day of the week. Sunday’s tradition with my friends for the last year has been nothing short of a great time. We get brunch and drink bottomless mimosas. Then we wander over to the next bar to sing our hearts out at karaoke. Finally, we head back home to catch up on all the latest shows. Recently, we’ve decided to change things up a bit. We make brunch at home and we’ve even tweaked the classic mimosa. Instead of karaoke and Netflix, we cook dinner together and play Texas Hold ‘Em. Sundays are still awesome, especially with this easy recipe: a twist on the classic mimosa. The sweet taste and subtle citrus notes of juicy pears coupled with sparkling…
